Our own wines from the Neusiedlersee-Hügelland region
Our vinyards can be found in Purbach, in the wine growing region of Neusiedlersee-Hügelland. They are situated in a prime location in the north of the lovely province of Burgenland, our second home. From Rosenberg (“Rosenberi”) for example, where our Blaufränkischer grows, you have a breathtaking view over Purbach, the Neusiedlersee lake and the resorts on its banks – it is a real paradise. When you walk through the vinyards during the grape harvest, picking the juicy, ripe grapes, you are overcome with a feeling of contentment and gratitude. The combination of shell limestone earth and Pannonian climate gives the wine is special aromas. In our vinyards you can sometimes recognise fossils of sea creatures of bygone times in the stones.
HarvestTIME – love and care, that you can taste
At the beginning of October it’s time to reap the harvest in our vinyard. The whole family is full of zest for action when we pick the ripe grapes. The grapes are carefully picked by hand by ourselves, collected in large buckets and emptied into the harvest barrow attached to our tractor. Thankful for what nature gives us every year, we work the grapes with great care to make our popular wines.
